Popular streamer Amouranth surprised fans and followers by stating earlier today that the creator has produced “more Overwatch than a jacuzzi” video for the first time ever, and said “life is better” following this latest change in production practices. Amouranth regained control of her brand in October after a high-profile dispute with her husband and former business partner.
“90 days ago I was hot tubing 50 percent or more, now it’s like under 10 percent,” Amouranth said on Twitter, citing accusations that her content has remained largely the same over the past few months. “But I guess all that matters is a few selection clips. I’ve played more Overwatch than I’ve played in the whirlpool. This never happened.
In response to a user commenting on “how the rebranding turned out” on the same social media platform, Amouranth said the issue was “not about rebranding, I literally don’t care”. I do what I want and still make seven figures a month. Life is better.”
This comes after news that Amouranth will be taking an indefinite hiatus from the air following recent controversy over allegations of harassment by her husband. “I’m taking a break, not sure when I’ll be back,” Amouranth wrote on Twitter at the time. The creator previously stated that she “wanted to tell” her fans and followers that she was actually married, but her husband rejected the idea, claiming that the information would “destroy her business model.”
The streamer came back into the limelight shortly after the incident in question, stating that she had separated from her husband, took control of their joint bank account, and accepted legal advice. “As for your husband’s situation, as some of you probably saw the other night, he called me during a broadcast and I disappeared for about two hours,” Amouranth said. Sorry if this was hard for people to watch. I really didn’t know what else to do.”
Amouranth is back on her regular broadcast schedule after “cleaning the house” at her agency earlier this month. According to the creator, the incident with her husband was little more than a minor upset for her otherwise highly successful career.
