Suppose you want to change your keyboard’s Language to type in your native Language. On Android phones running recent ColorOS versions, Google’s Gboard comes pre-installed, and it is available in much more than 500 different languages.
Using Gboard to change between languages while typing is also an option. For example, if you’re typing in English but want to enter a word or a sentence in another language, you can use Gboard. It is not essential to alter the device’s entire Language. Keep reading this article for more details.
Using the method described below on devices running ColorOS 5.2 or above is possible.
- Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Keyboard and Input Method] > [Gboard] > [Languages] > [Languages] Select [ADD KEYBOARD]. [Select Your Language].

However, you can switch languages directly from the keyboard while typing if you follow this method.
- Press and hold the spacebar for several minutes while typing to open the language selection menu.
- To change the Language, select [Language] from the drop-down menu.
