Connecting your laptop to a projector is a proceeding for the most part. The following are a few basic steps to help guide you through the process; however, not every setup is the same.
How To Connect Projector With Laptop
- Turn on the system and select the button that matches your laptop.
- Connect the VGA or HDMI cable to the VGA or HDMI port on the back of your laptop. You can use an HDMI or VGA adapter to attach your computer to the tv. Plug the adapter into your computer and connect the other end of the cable provided to the television.
- Start your laptop.
- After your desktop has loaded, the laptop image should start to project on display. If this is not the case, follow the steps described below that are unique to your laptop’s operating system.
Connect Laptop To Projector Windows 10
Connecting the laptop to the project on Windows 10 follows the steps below.
- While retaining the Windows button on the keyboard, press the word “P.”. Will show your display options due to this.
- While retaining the Windows button pressed, press “P” to highlight each option available. To project the image that shows on your laptop monitor, choose “Duplicate.”
- To use the projector as a second monitor, select “Extend” from the menu bar. After that, you can drag items off of your laptop display and onto the projected image.
- Must release the Windows button after the desired option has been highlighted.
Setting Up the Laptop for Video
Video mirroring allows you to display the image on your laptop monitor.
- System Preferences on your Mac, then click Displays and connect “Display.
- Make sure the resolution on both monitors is the same.
- Mirror Displays Arrangement > Mirror Displays.
