How to Earn the Title of Destiny 2: Scallywag

Destiny 2 Season Of Plunder Drifter Guardians

Destiny 2s Season of Plunder comes with the Scallywag title unlocked after completing ten seasons of Victory. While most of these challenges are fairly easy, a few are drastically time-limited or require dozens of hours of grinding. Fortunately, if you’re not a fan of sharpening Deepsight weapons or Ruffians, you can skip one of Scallywag’s nine Triumphs.

As a result, Scallywag’s difficulty will vary depending on which Victories you focus on. That doesn’t mean it’s hard to get, but you should expect a much longer grind than previous season games. This guide will cover all nine Scallywag Triumphs, from farming tips to upgrade suggestions, and how best to complete them.

Updated on 23 November 2022 by Charles Burgar: In the mid-season update, Bungie significantly reduced the Scallywag Triumph requirements, lowered the game’s Triumph requirements to eight, and removed one Triumph entirely. You no longer need to listen to audio recordings and the requirement to kill Ruffian has been greatly reduced. We have updated this guide to reflect these changes.

Savior of the Seven Seas

Savior of the Seven Seas: Journey to each of the Pirate’s Sanctuaries and defeat the Pirate Lords inside.

Pirate Hideouts are story missions unlocked through the Season of the Plunder’s questline. Complete the eight-week phase of the questline to defeat each Pirate Lord and complete this Victory. You’ll also get a lore book for your trouble.

Full Sail

Full Sail: Purchase all upgrades from the Star Chart in HELM

The Star Chart has 21 upgrades for you to unlock. All upgrades require a Reputation to purchase. You will earn Reputation by completing Seasonal Missions that revolve around Ketchcrash or the story of the season. Watch out for all Seasonal Challenges that give Reputation as rewards. Two Reputations are tied to each challenge set, and a Reputation is awarded during the seasonal questline.

If you’re playing in a future season, you can find these Seasonal Challenges in the “Past Challenges” tab of the Seasonal Challenges menu. To find them, go to the “Season of Loot” section.

Beacon’s Guidance

Beacon’s Guidance: Use Treasure Marks to decipher the location of the hidden treasure.

The Star Map vendor has three Treasure Beacons for sale, each locked behind a vendor rank:

  • Little Treasure Mark: Available at level 7.
  • Medium Treasure Mark: Available in the 10th row.
  • Great Treasure Mark: Available at Level 16.

You will increase your Star Chart reputation by playing Ketchcrash and Expedition. Prizes and consecutive matches don’t speed this up, so you’ll have to play dozens of games to get to R16. The good news is that many Season Challenges are tied to Ketchcrash and Expedition. Maximize your time by completing these challenges while farming. You can find all Seasonal Challenges on our Destiny 2 homepage.

Crew Control

Crew Control: Summon each teammate assigned as your First Aid during the Expedition and Ketchcrash events.

Crew’s Control requires you to summon each First Mate 15 times in Expedition and Ketchcrash. For clarity, this refers to First Mate upgrades that are unlocked in the fourth column of the Star Chart. Unlock one of these upgrades, start both events, then keep your eyes peeled for a pirate flag throughout the mission. Interacting with the Flag spawns your Firemates.

The First Captain you specifically summon for the Expedition is determined by an upgrade in your Captain’s Journal. When choosing a Campaign map, you will have the option to choose your First Friend. Summon each First Friend 15 times to end the victory.

intensive program

Intensive program: Complete the Ketchcrash event on Master difficulty.

The Master variant of Ketchcrash is marginally harder than Normal, featuring Champions and a Matchplay modifier. The event does not gain new mechanics or any other changes. Power Level is the main difference here so make sure you are near the Peak Head before you start this.

Master Ketchcrash also doesn’t have any mapping, so we highly recommend using an LFG service to create a fire brigade. It’s possible to solo this with an outstanding build, but we find it much easier to get some random players together. No coordination is required, so microphone groups should not be easy to find. Only one deficit is required for this Victory.

The scourge of the Themis Cluster

Trouble of the Themis Cluster: Defeat all Ketchcrash bosses.

Ketchcrash boss returns weekly. Ketchcrash has three unique bosses, so you must complete a weekly Ketchcrash quest for three weeks. That’s not a big question if you’re a title pursuit. Don’t forget to start the playlist on every weekly reset. Both Normal and Master Ketchcrash count for Triumph.

Magnificent Wealth

Magnificent Wealth: Put the treasure in the treasure vault.

Treasure refers to Exotic Engrams dropped during the Campaign mission. For this Victory you need to deposit 200 Engrams in the treasury. There’s no quick way to do this, so we highly recommend focusing on the other challenges first. You’ll get this done eventually.

robber baron

Robber baron: Defeat the Ruffians.

Robber Baron wants you to beat 10 Ruffians (Unstoppable Champions) in the Campaign seasonal event. You can fight up to four Outlaws during a given Expedition.

A Ruffian will always spawn in the ranged defense section and there is a high probability that a second Ruffian will appear after three minutes. bullies do immortality Don’t despair after a mid-season patch so you don’t have to worry about missing the second Ruffian during a defensive episode. Since the treasure transport stopped twice during the expedition, this total Four Ruffians per run.

When it comes to dealing with bullies, you’ll want to use a Rocket Launcher or Linear Fusion Rifle. Use an Unstoppable weapon from the seasonal Artifact to stun the champion, then equip your Heavy to melt his HP. If you want a weapon that stuns and kills, try Leviathan’s Breath. You only need to kill ten Ruffians for this Triumph, so don’t worry too much about the delayed Ruffian spawn. Worst case, you’ll have to run Expedition five times to finish it.

Salty Smith

Salty Smith: Unlock Patterns for weapons in Season of Loot.

Salty Smith is the toughest Triumph of the bunch. You’ll need to unlock three weapon models originating from Season of Loot. King’s Fall weapons don’t count.

There are two Star Map upgrades that guarantee red border weapons from Season of Plunder:

  • Double Perk Weapon Loot: Similar to previous seasons, Bungie tweaked this upgrade to provide a guaranteed Deep Sight on your first weapon focus of the week.
  • Hidden Compartment: Your first Ketchcrash of the week drops a Deep Sight weapon.

We recommend that you take the two-week red limits and wait until the next weekly reset. You can technically get more red borders from Farming Expedition and Ketchcrash, but the drop rates are so astronomically low that we wouldn’t recommend doing so; We’re talking about single-digit drop rates.

As for which weapons are worth raising, we highly recommend the Tarnished Mettle, No Reprieve, and Brigand’s Law.
