When you reach Ouranos Island Sonic Frontiers, you will be no stranger to the many challenges that dot each of the game’s maps. Even with Kronos, Ares, and the Chaos Islands behind you, there will still be unexpected surprises as you traverse the widest area. From brand new puzzles to the toughest versions of familiar puzzles, Ouranos’ Challenges lives up to its name!
If you’re stuck on any of the twenty-six puzzles in the final part of the game, use this guide to find all their locations, objectives and tips for completing them.
M-079
- Location: Along the main road, just to the left of the starting point. Look for a Vault Key buried nearby!
- Prize: Red Seed
Press the gold tile to start. When the other tiles are burned, skip to each one exactly once without falling or stepping on a tile you’ve already touched.
M-080
- Location: On a hill to the south and slightly west of the Stage 4-1 Portal.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Activate the globe switch to get started. When a globe falls from the sky, hit the ground. Look for the concentric rings coming out of the sphere’s landing point and run towards it. You must reach the impact point just before the orb touches the ground.
Be careful not to accelerate, or you’ll go far beyond the orb and miss!
M-081
- Location: Along the ridge southwest of Stage 4-1 Pass.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Use the Cyloop on the pedestal at the edge of the cliff to get started. When the ball appears Use Target Target Attack to pass through five hoops in any order. The circles to the left and right of the middle one are slightly further apart, so you need to stand back from the ball before throwing it to get the right angle.
M-082
- Location: southwest of the Blue Emerald Vault.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Activate the blocks that look like Tetris pieces in order to match the example on the pedestal. Correct order Purple, Blue, Black.
M-083
- Location: Northwest of Stage 4-2 Portal.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Stand in the ruins between the two loops and jump over the laser while swinging down. Keep playing laser jump rope until the time runs out. If the laser hits you or you get off the pedestal, you have to start over.
This laser double oscillates fast, so you have to double jump every time.
M-084
- Location: South of the Stage 4-4 Portal. Accessible only after expanding the bridge to the north island as part of Sage’s questline.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Stand on the green tile in the middle of the pedestal to start the Challenge. Jump left and right to quickly press each tile while the lights are on. The task will be completed after twenty correct entries.
M-085
- Location: East of the Green Emerald Vault. Accessible only after expanding the bridge to the north island as part of Sage’s questline.
- Prize: Red Seed
Hit the hourglass with the Homing Attack to start the timer, then follow the blue targets to the target. It can be read for a sharp left turn after the second target.
The timer is tight so you can gain more time by tapping the Accelerate button when you have two targets lined up in front of you. Be careful not to overdo it!
M-086
- Location: Southeast of the Green Emerald Vault. It’s only accessible at night after expanding the bridge to the north island as part of Sage’s questline.
- Prize: Blue Seed, plus a Vault Key buried under the ultimate target.
Use the Cyloop to activate the glowing light next to the Challenge Marker. Another will appear nearby. Activate it as well and follow the lights to the great ruin on the other side of the forest. You will receive your reward after activating the last light.
M-087
- Location: North of the White Emerald Vault.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Use the Cyloop in the correct order to match on the example in Tetris-like blocks. correct order Grey, Yellow, Blue, Purple, Black.
M-088
- Location: Southeast of the Yellow Emerald Vault, in the middle of the hill.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Press the Hourglass to begin, then follow the targets to the Yellow Emerald Vault. You can afford to slow down, as you will need to jump precisely to hit particularly high targets.
M-089
- Location: West of the Red Emerald Vault.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Notice a glowing orb moving in a large circle around the Challenge Marker. Run to him and Hold down the attack button until you catch it.
M-090
- Location: southwest of stage 4-3.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Use the Homing Attack on the hourglass to start the timer. When blue targets appear, Use Cyclop twice on the pile of bars below them. This will reveal a flower.
Attack the flower to launch it into the air and hit all the targets as it descends to finish the Challenge.
M-091
- Location: In the valley west of the Red Emerald Vault.
- Prize: Red Seed, also a few Cocos and Purple Coins on target.
Hit the hourglass with a homing attack to start the challenge. Follow the route to the top of the nearby tower. Most of the bows here are untargetable with Homing Attack, so you’ll have to use double jumps carefully to get through!
M-092
- Location: It’s very northwest of the gateway to Stage 4-6.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Hit the punching bag to start the challenge. You need to inflict three hundred damage to the target in thirty seconds. You can easily collect several times that amount this late in the game!
M-093
- Location: West of Stage 4-3 Portal.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Interact with the orb to start the challenge. Notice the blue circles appearing on the ground showing where the target orb will land. Stop at the landing area and tap it before it hits the ground to complete the Challenge.
M-094
- Location: West of Stage 4-8 Portal.
- Prize: Blue Seed, plus a few Coco and Purple Coins near the castle.
Hit the hourglass with the Homing Attack to start the Challenge. Run up the hill and jump through the pink circle, then follow the route from the coast to the island. It’s harder than it looks!
Change strips on grind rails to avoid rebound. If you come back do not panic. Eventually you’ll be back in the right direction and the timer is pretty smooth. If you jump off the tracks to try to correct your course, you have a good chance of falling into the ocean.
M-095
- Location: Southeast of Stage 4-8 Pass, near a fishing spot.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Press the button next to the Challenge Marker to get started. When the floating platforms are in motion, use Homing Attack on them one after another to climb to the top of the ruins.
When he got to the roof Use Air Boost followed by a Homing Attack to get to the next key. Keep climbing until you reach the third key, then press it to complete the Challenge.
M-096
- Location: North of the Tier 4-8 Portal.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Rotate the mirrors so that the beam hits the receiver in the ruins. Mirrors can only be rotated at ninety-degree angles.
The final mirror must be rotated vertically rather than horizontally to hit the receiver on it.
M-097
- Location: Just west of the Teal Emerald Vault.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Use the Cyloop on the pedestal to make the ball and hoops appear. Hit the ball from all hoops with Homing Attack. You will need to attack the ball from different heights and angles to hit different hoops.
M-098
- Location: West of Stage 4-6 Portal. It can only be used at night.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Use the Cyloop on the glowing tree next to the pond to claim your reward.
M-099
- Location: Behind the large building where the White Emerald Vault is located.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Press the hourglass to start the timer, then start climbing the building. All roads lead to the top, so choose the path that makes the most sense to you.
M-100
- Location: In the field of flowers south of the Red Emerald Vault. Watch out for nearby Kunoichi!
- Prize: Blue Seed
Hit the Hourglass with the Homing Attack, then use the nearby flower to launch it into the air. Hit each target as you go down without missing any targets to complete the challenge.

- Location: Northeast of Stage 4-4 Portal. Accessible only after expanding the bridge to the north island as part of Sage’s questline.
- Prize: Red Seed.

- Location: South of the Tier 4-8 Portal.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Use Cyloop to sort bricks by template in the following order: Yellow, Purple, Black, Blue, Grey.

- Location: North of the Tier 4-6 Portal.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Stand on the triangular pedestal and Dodge three consecutive projectiles fired by the machine.

- Location: Southeast of the Yellow Emerald Vault, at the foot of the hill.
- Prize: Blue Seed.
Follow the diagram above to walk on lit tiles without going backwards or stepping on a dark tile.

- Location: Northwest of Stage 4-6 Portal.
- Prize: Red Seed.
Press the gold tile to start. Carefully jump to each lit tile, pressing on each one exactly once. If you fall or step on a dark tile, you have to start over.
